Original posts by Chris Winfield at 10e20 (May 2007) and ebixmba (August 2007)

As a blogger and online marketer, I’m interested in knowing what the hottest social bookmarking sites are. When I came across Chris’ site of the top 24 social bookmarking sites, I noticed that he used a compiled list of the top 20 from ebixmba. I had to laugh because, for kicks, I checked them out and found that they updated their list to now show the top 30 social bookmarking sites. I’d say that it’s Chris’ turn to update again …

I have to recommend that you refer to both sites for the full-deal experience. Chris does a nice job of including a brief explanation about each site, as well as their Alexa rating, while ebixmba lists inbound links, monthly visitors, Alexa rank and PR.

This is the way that lists should be compiled.

I thought about recommending other lists from other sites but chose not to for 2 reasons: 1) no anecdotal notes and, 2) the lists were so similar in PR and categories that I was hard-pressed to know who borrowed from whom. Besides a quick walk through Google will likely reveal the same lists anyway.
